Contentment
"If today you're thinking 'I need just a little bit more' of something, consider instead the possibility that God has given you 'just enough'".
This is the featured topic in Our Daily Bread's website today. Something that I needed to be reminded of for the past few weeks (or months, could be years). Been working on my second job/company already and haven't saved anything yet. I'm turning twenty three next month and I still, no savings on my bank account.
I have been wanting to buy an iTouch 5th gen and a Samsung Galaxy S3 / Note II. But every time I tell my boyfriend about this, he always asks this question: "do you need it?". Then I stop and ask myself too. Do I?
Do we really need to be always updated on the latest gadgets? Do we really need to be always "in" and have everything that this world dictates us to "must" have?
He is rich who is satisfied with what he has. I think we all need this to remember all the time. If we never get contented on the things we can have and afford, we will never be satisfied and happy. Never. But if we focus on the things we have and be thankful for it, we could be the richest person in the world.
God has been providing me the things I need. Who am I to question and complain for not having the things I want (luho)? God knows what I need most and I'm thankful that He provides me those things and bring it to my life at His perfect timing :)
